Weddings in India

Getting married in India is a magical experience. Home of the greatest monument to love ever built, the Taj Mahal, India is an incredible destination to get married abroad. Whether you wish to marry in an intricately decorated palace or temple, or get married outside in a lush garden with the scent of flowers wafting in the breeze, India can make your wedding wishes come true. read more

Despite the hustle and bustle of the cities, India has plenty of calm, secluded locations where you can get married. How about holding your wedding in a manor house set in a nature reserve? You never know, you might spot a tiger outside! Or you could escape to the mountains and get married at a hilltop plantation with a sensational view of the mountaintops from your balcony. You could even arrive at your wedding on an elephant, or a camel if you so wish!

While it's not easy to legally marry in India if you aren't resident, most couples do the legal part at home and have a blessing ceremony there. The upside to this is that you can have your wedding ceremony anywhere you like, so if you're hankering after a beach wedding in Goa or want to exchange vows on a boat meandering down the canals of Kerala then you can do so.

India really is a country of contrasts and that's what makes it so wonderful for a wedding. Just imagine your perfect wedding ceremony and add in plenty of warmth, bright colours and the smell of spice in the air as you relax after the ceremony and watch the hazy sun set and the stars come out – there's nothing more romantic!
