The island of Oahu is home to famous Waikiki beach, the state capital Honolulu and infamous Pearl Harbor. Despite the popularity of the island it is easy to escape to more secluded areas such as the rainforest in the centre of the island and the spectacular surfing beaches of the North Shore.
Next to Honolulu, Waikiki beach with Diamond Head volcano overlooking the bay is famous the world-over and makes a popular wedding location. Alternatively, there are plenty of more secluded beaches dotted around Oahu on which you can exchange vows. It's quite simple to marry here, and many couples choose to pick a secluded spot to become Mr & Mrs.
If you enjoy surfing you try and marry at one of the beaches on the North Shore. It's much more private up there, with less visitors, and the only people on the beach tend to be locals and surfers, so you'll have more space to enjoy your ceremony as you say your vows.

Romantic Maui has often been voted one of the “best” islands in the world, and it’s easy to understand why.
With wide sandy beaches, the delightful town of Lahaina which gives you a good feel of the history of the islands, Haleakaka National Park where you can watch the sun rise from the top of the volcano, and the spectacular winding road to the pretty town of Hana, Maui boasts relaxation, exploration and spectacular natural scenery.
Marry beside a tumbling waterfall and crystal clear pool in the rainforest, walk barefoot on one of Maui's beautiful white sand beaches to tie the knot with your groom, or choose one of the many luxury resorts to plight your troth. You could even ask to marry on top of Haleakala volcano!

Kauai is a small but stunning island, perfect for nature lovers. Many TV shows and films are filmed here due to its spectacular scenery (it took a starring role in the movie The Descendents).
Make sure you see the magnificent Na Pali cliffs which are best viewed from a helicopter to appreciate them fully, and beautiful Hanalei Bay on the north side of the island.
Kauai is also home to the magnificent Waimea Canyon, often called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”. This island is ideal if you'd like a secluded ceremony with your nearest and dearest rather than a large party as it has an even more laid back air than the other islands, although there are plenty of five star resorts as well.

4. The Big Island of Hawaii
The island of Hawaii lent its name to the whole island chain, however to distinguish it from the state as a whole it is often called “The Big Island”. The largest and youngest of the islands, the Big Island shows you the power of the natural world in Volcanoes National Park, where you can see lava oozing from the earth!
The Big Island is still growing, with the new lava forming more land off the south coast. Also home to the world’s largest volcano, Mauna Kea, astronomers study the secrets of the universe from the laboratory close to the summit.
Getting married on the Big Island gives you a choice of even more spectacular settings – on a lava plateau looking out over the water, in a simple ceremony under a palm tree with the waves lapping at your feet, in a helicopter flying over the island – these are just some of the options available.

Lanai is one of the smaller of the islands and used to be used for growing pineapples.
Nowadays it is known for its two luxury resorts and for getting away from it all. Bill Gates hired the whole island out for his wedding, but you can just get married in one of the resorts!
