The home of the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, Cyprus is extremely
popular for a wedding abroad due to its location and almost guaranteed
sunshine. Couples looking for a Cyprus wedding have a great choice of
locations, and you can now have your wedding ceremony at a hotel rather
than having to get married in a church or registry office, although the
choice still remains to get married in one of the picturesque chapels
dotted around the Cypriot countryside.
Paphos is a popular wedding choice as, apart from being very close to
Aphrodite's Rock where she was allegedly born, it's easy to get to and
there are plenty of fabulous resorts here, most of which cater for
weddings. Since the Cyprus marriage laws are simple, many couples simply
book a holiday and get married while they're away.

A classic Cyprus wedding is having your ceremony at a hotel overlooking the
beach under a gazebo as the sun turns hazy towards the end of the day, then
continuing the celebrations into the evening.
However, if Paphos doesn't appeal then other wedding location options are
available, how about Limassol further along the coast? Its old town is very
picturesque, which is great for those wedding photos, and it also has a
large stretch of beach where you could relax after the ceremony.
Or, you could always try Larnaca, a quieter town with whitewashed houses,
palm trees dotted along its main street, and plenty of cafes and shops to
while away the afternoon – simply ideal for a quieter wedding.
Alternatively, if clubbing is your scene you could always have your
wedding in Agia Napa and dance the night away afterwards! As you can see,
Cyprus is one of the top wedding abroad countries for good reason, and our
wedding providers below can vouch for that!
