Croatia are becoming very popular these days, and you can see why, with its
rugged coastline, clean beaches and mountainous interior Croatia has some
stunning locations for a wedding abroad.
How about getting married in the pretty city of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World
Heritage site? Perched on the coast with a lovely view of several islands
close by (which you can also get married on), Dubrovnik makes a stunning
wedding choice with its ancient churches, hidden gardens, cobbled streets
and golden-hued buildings.
You could exchange vows in a ruined monastery in a nature reserve, in a 15th
century palace with renaissance architecture, or get married in one of the
many luxury hotels with amazing views over the harbour and bay.

Further north, the Croatian landscape is rural with forests, incredible blue
lakes, waterfalls and pretty villages. If you wanted a wedding with a
difference then how about marrying in a medieval hilltop village, or
exchanging vows in a vineyard or by a waterfall?
For those wanting to be by the sea, the Croatian
coastline runs the length of the Adriatic Sea and is almost 2000km long,
which means there are plenty of secret bays and secluded beaches for your
wedding day! With over 1000 islands running the length of the coast, good
ones for a wedding include Hvar and Brac if you like a good atmosphere and
plenty of company, or the Kornati peninsula, Lokrum and Mjet if you'd like a
rural wedding with just your nearest and dearest.
There are many fabulous venues on these islands to choose from; you could
get married on a balcony or pier overlooking the sea, exchange vows in an
ancient village church or villa, or perhaps you'd like to have a beach
wedding or become Mr and Mrs on a clifftop overlooking a stunning bay – the
choice is vast in Croatia.
