Sicily is not as well known as a wedding destination as other parts of
Italy, but there are so many unspoilt and simply gorgeous locations here
that you'd be missing out if you didn't take a look at this romantic island.
Here we ask Valentina why she became involved in the industry of love.
How did you decide to become a wedding planner? / What inspired you to start your business?
I’ve always felt comfortable with organizing, style and designing parties, family excursions and life in general. And I’m in love with love so....it came naturally.
What's the best part about being a wedding planner?
Being a destination wedding planner the thing I like most is getting to know people from all around the word, coming into their life for a while and the trust they give me. The memories and feelings that derive from it are something I could never give up.
Which areas of Sicily do you enjoy organising weddings in, and why?
I really enjoy countryside and wineyard weddings, I grow up in the country with my grandparents, I love colors, scents and relationships that grow from the countryside. And here in Cefalù you can see the sea even from the country.
What's the most unusual wedding you've organised?
A seaside wedding in Cefalù old town.
What's the most popular type of wedding you organise?
Country Chic weddings.
What advice would you give couples wanting to get married in Sicily?
My advice is to rely on a person who knows the local people and environment really well, this is most important to avoid unpleasant surprises.
