Getting a marriage licence
You must give notice to marry at least 7 days before the ceremony takes place, preferably longer.
What legal papers do I need to take with me?
Passports.
Full birth certificates.
Certificates of No Impediment issued 3-6 months before the ceremony.
Copies of your witnesses' passports.
If you have been divorced then the final divorce papers must be shown.All documents must be translated by an official translator and stamped with an apostille.
You must register your intent to marry at the local authority where you wish to marry.
