Weddings in Slovakia make a fabulous choice if you're looking for a wedding
abroad country full of soaring mountains, ancient villages, history,
tradition, music and entertainment. Slovakia is a small country in eastern
Europe, where the welcome is warm and it's easy to get married.
Choosing to get married here means you have a great choice of castles, manor
houses and gardens where you can exchange vows. The 12th century Bojnice
castle is a popular wedding location, its turrets peeking above the tree
line as you get closer; you could also get married in the capital city
Bratislava with its pretty old town and multitude of wedding venues; or how
about marrying under a gazebo in a pretty garden in the height of summer?
Alternatively, if you are religious, there are plenty of exquisitely
decorated churches in Slovakia where you can marry.
Combining your wedding abroad with your honeymoon is
a good decision, and Slovakia has plenty of stunning locations for all kinds
of honeymoon. From the alpine Tatras mountains in the north of the country
(great for skiing and romantic snuggling in a log cabin by the fire!), to
the cosmopolitan and historic capital city of Bratislava; from the UNESCO
World Heritage listed 900 year old Spis castle overlooking the countryside
from its high vantage point, to the multitude of spas and natural wellness
centres which abound, there's plenty to do to suit all tastes in Slovakia.
