What are the legal requirements to get married in St Vincent & the Grenadines?
Legal age for marriage is 18 years for both men and women.
Bride and Groom may not be related by blood, marriage or adoption.
Two witnesses are required.
How long do I have to be resident in St Vincent & the Grenadines before I can get married?
I can get married?
To obtain a Governor General licence you must be resident for at least one day
before applying. The licence is issued in one day.
Getting a marriage licence
You must apply in person for a marriage licence at the Ministry of Legal Affairs and take the documents mentioned below.
What legal papers do I need to take with me?
Passports and birth certificates.
Return air tickets.
If you have been divorced then a copy of the final divorce papers must be shown.
If you are widowed then a copy of the death certificate of your previous spouse
must be shown.
All documents above must have original stamp/seal and signature.
