It may be difficult to legally marry here if you aren't resident, but this unspoilt island really does make a fantastic location to have a blessing or renew your vows. Magnificent forests still cover the interior, while there are still enough beaches to keep beach fans happy!
Below are the legalities to get married in Madagascar, alongside a map
and the weather, to help you plan your ideal wedding abroad.
Madagascar Marriage Law Requirements
As it is not very easy for non residents to get married in Madagascar, the
wedding ceremonies on this page are purely symbolic. So, it is possible to have
a marriage blessing on this beautiful island, but the ceremony will not be
legal. You can overcome this hurdle by taking care of the legalities in your
home country before you fly out to Madagascar, and then having a full ceremony
on the island with perhaps a lemur or two as your witnesses!
